Biography
I believe in a well-rounded music education. My students learn to play piano through music of all genres giving them a chance to play music they enjoy and an understanding of how different cultures explore music. I believe that the best musicians have a deep understanding not just of their instrument, but of music history, theory, composition, and of others instruments as well.
This mirrors my own musical upbringing. I started piano lessons at 5 years old and as the years went on I learned different instruments as well because I wanted to know more about music and how to make it. I wrote my first piece of music in 6th grade at the piano. By the end of high school, I was playing jazz and classical piano, saxophone, clarinet, drum set, and guitar.

I graduated with a degree in BM Music Composition from University of the Pacific. Shortly after I was teaching there as adjunct faculty before leaving to complete my Masters in Music Production, Technology, and Innovation from Berklee College of Music.
Music can be a lot of fun, but it takes serious work and dedication. I try to make the work as easy as possible by keeping my students engaged, playing, and curious.
